Welcome!Welcome to the website of the United States Schipperke Club--where you will find information about the Schipperke as it was intended to be: Complete and Unabridged! That's a pretty imposing name and claim for a tiny little club, but it expresses our attitude. We want to be available and of service to all those in the United States who cherish these wonderful dogs, and to our friends in other countries who share our goals. We have established this new Schipperke club because we choose to encourage the breeding and development of purebred Schipperkes of all colors (including black) and to urge an end to the useless practice of docking the tails of Schipperke puppies. |

This Just In!! The United Kennel Club, the oldest dog registry in the U.S., began admitting Schips of colors other than black to its shows and trials effective Jan. 1, 2010. Working with the USSC the UKC leadership decided, on Nov. 11, 2010 to modify their breed standard, admitting colored Schips to breed competition as well as to performance events conducted by the UKC. We look forward to exhibiting our colored Schips alongside their classic black relatives during the coming years! |
